To kick start the Tuesday residency, My Secret Boston and Church had Richard James And The Name Changers headlining each Tuesday night in January 2012. As a personal favorite local band of mine, I made sure to catch every free Tuesday night performance of Richard James And The Name Changers at Church.
The show ends at about midnight on Tuesdays, but the fun doesn't stop there! Most of the Church crew makes their way to Wally's for what is better known to the locals as WTF, or Wally's Tuesday Funk. Wally's is located in Back Bay on Mass. Ave. and has been family owned and operated since 1947, making it one of the oldest jazz clubs in the city. The great thing about heading over to Wally's after Church is that its also a free show! So, if you're broke and still want to check out killer local bands, Tuesday is the night for you!
